Algeria's media experience in fight against terrorism highlighted in Cairo

CAIRO (Egypt)- Algeria's media experience in the fight against terrorism was the focus of interest for the participants on Monday in the 10th meeting of the Arab Media Permanent Committee in charge of assessing the role of Arab medias in the fight against the scourge. Despite its young age (20 years of existence), Algeria's media experience at the age of pluralism can be described as "successful," especially as the Algerian media have achieved "positive results" surpassing several pioneer countries in this field, said the representative of the Ministry of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani. Bouslimani highlighted "the resistance and courage of the Algerian media in time of crises that marked the black decade, adding that the press "has not yielded face to the barbaric terrorism over a decade, and managed to bear the heavy burden of conveying the aspirations of the civil society and expressing their pains by publishing their daily testimonies on the horrors committed by bloodthirsty terrorist groups."
