| Human rights in Western Sahara: Two Italian lawmakers call government to take clear position ROME (Algeria)- Two Italian MPs called their government to "take a clear position" over human rights in Western Sahara, Italian media reported Thursday in Rome. "We expected the government to take a clear position in relation to the latest developments in Western Sahara," deputies Carmen Motta (Democratic Party) and Paul Grima (Northern League) said in response to Secretary of State at Foreign Affairs Ministry Alfredo Mantica's reply to a question, at the Chamber of Deputies, about human rights situation in Saharawi territories. Last Tuesday, Mantica underlined Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini's comments following occupied al-Ayun events of 14 November 2010, when Moroccan police bloodily dismantled Saharawi "Camp of Liberty." Italy had said it was following "with concern" what happened in Western Sahara.
