ALGIERS- The trade union of the National Company of Industrial Vehicles (SNVI) has "firmly" denounced on Friday the manipulation of pictures by the Qatari TV channel "Aljazeera", showing videos of past peaceful demonstration of the company's workers as representing the protests recorded in some cities of the country. SNVI trade union was "surprised to notice that videos of past peaceful demonstration of the company's workers over socio-professional demands were cut out and manipulated by the channel." In this respect, the union "firmly" denounced the manipulation of pictures by the channel, "as its hidden intentions go against journalistic ethics," the source added. The videos and pictures broadcast in background of an interview with an Algerian analyst over the protest acts recorded in Algeria past days, show peaceful demonstration of SNVI workers and even pictures of collapsed houses after the earthquake that hit the central region of the country in 2003.
